Description: The Hohe Holzmeisteralm is closed in the winter months until the beginning of June!
Welcome to the hut Holzmeisteralm at the foot of the Dachstein!
At the foot of the Dachstein
Embedded in the Dachstein massif is the Upper Lakte Gosau with the hut "Hohe Holzmeisteralm". Hike from the Lake Gosau to the Upper Lake Gosau and then stop at the hut "Hintere Holzmeisteralm". You could also hike further to the Adamek hut.
The hut host Lisa spoils her guests with local delicacies and cool drinks, which can be enjoyed right next to the beautiful Upper Lake Gosau.
We are only open for you in summer.

Accessibility / arrivalThe mountain pasture "Hohe Holzmeisteralm" is at the Upper Lake Gosausee. You can reach it by foot passing the Lower Lake Gosau and the Gosaulacke.

from Linz:
Motorway exit Regau on Salzkammergut street B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern, in Bad Goisern turn right onto B166, at the Gosaumühle junction turn right towards Gosau
from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
