Paths covering:
The wild wood way ("Wildholzweg") starts at the municipal office in Nußdorf at the Attersee and leads then over the Anger (between hotel land hotel Ragginger and boutique hotel Aichinger) and Oberndorf up to the well-known view point and power place "Pfarrer Salettl.
More about this under: Hiking Pass Attersee-Attergau
Twelve stations provide information, for example, about the walnut tree as a symbol of Nussdorf, the importance of the timber industry for the region, the use and processing of old varieties of fruit trees, and furniture production past and present. Furthermore, one encounters highlights such as a gallery, a high stand, a labyrinth and a show workshop.
Return again via the same path to the center of Nußdorf!
In the center of Nußdorf am Attersee surrounds a wide range of gastronomy.
Philosophy:
Tree - Wood ... two monosyllables, simple and ubiquitous. However, these two words only hint at the dimensions of the miracle of the tree, which range from the natural living being with its complex survival processes to wood as a companion of human civilization. The goal of the Wildwood Trail is to allow visitors to participate in this miracle work of nature at 12 way stations and to awaken enthusiasm for one of mankind's oldest companions.
Wildwood trail experience:
Trailblazer Nut...the imposing nut tree - the namesake for "Nisdorf" or later Nussdorf - points the way on an exciting journey of discovery:
From the story of the Berimandl, to the beech as a garment, from the tree as a thirst quencher and as a miracle of nature, to its processing once and today. Along the way, you will encounter a show workshop and a sawmill, you will get to know numerous tree species, and you will have the Attersee lake at your feet.
Understanding trees
Understand the trees with all your senses! Smell, hear, understand and see. The tree periscope opens a slightly different perspective and tries to deceive.
If you close your eyes, you can feel the soft forest floor under your feet and listen to the conversations of the trees, the rustling of the leaves. Smells the wound plaster of the trees, the resin and feels their fruits.
Open all year round except for snow and ice
