"Doors open! Pressure off - desire in"

The motto of the opening is "Doors open! Pressure off - desire in!", because it's a good feeling to create something with your own hands.

From 2.00 pm, a wide variety of trades and craftspeople will be on site with their materials and tools.

At open activity stations involving wood, stone, textiles, metal, ... you can lend a hand under the guidance of the craftspeople. 

Young & old, big & small CAN try it out!

"What hands can do - craftsmanship goes to school"

The focus of this year's special exhibition is "Youth and craftsmanship" - what hands can do when they CAN.

The HAND.WERK.HAUS shows what happens when skilled craftspeople (craft businesses, apprentices...) get involved to create something together with young people
because it feels good to create something with your own hands.

In the exhibition rooms, a stylised classroom and a workroom are created, where work surfaces, machines and tools, exhibition objects, presentations and interactive manual experience space alternate.

The permanent exhibition on the members of the Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut - all of them craftspeople in the fields of "From Gable to Cellar, From Hand to Mouth, From Head to Toe and The Necessity of Beauty" is also part of the exhibition programme.
