VALIE EXPORT
The pioneer of feminist art and performance art recapitulates her photographic and installation work in the Stadtgarten Gmunden and in the Kunsthalle Blaue Butter, including video works. VALIE EXPORT is developing a site-specific concept for both exhibition spaces, incorporating freight containers as design elements.
The photo.gmunden, taking place for the 5th time in 2025, has developed into the photography hotspot of the summer in Austria in recent years and is extremely pleased to organize a large-scale solo exhibition with VALIE EXPORT this summer, following the group exhibitions of recent years, which aims to honor the partially ephemeral, radical, and highly political work of the artist, particularly in the medium of photography.
